Electric power "by big generation and small" save 700 million yuan

On November 6th, Jiangsu Electricity Regulatory Office reported the latest energy conservation and emission reduction situation in Jiangsu power industry, replacing small units with high-efficiency large generators to generate electricity. In the first three quarters of the province, the power generation industry in the province saved 785,000 tons of standard coal, saving fuel costs of 722 million yuan. Yuan, at the same time, it reduced emissions of 15700 tons of sulfur dioxide, 19,600 tons of nitrogen oxides, and 2.04 million tons of carbon dioxide. This is due to the implementation of the most stringent power-saving and emission reduction policies in the province.

About 90% of the power generation installed capacity in Jiangsu Province is coal-fired units. In the first three quarters, the province’s average coal consumption of coal-fired units with a capacity of 100,000 kilowatts and above was 306.44 g/kWh, a year-on-year decrease of 4.87 g/kWh. Since the beginning of this year, Jiangsu Province has also shut down 725,500 kilowatts of small units, making a major contribution to the province's energy-saving emission reduction.
