NEC today announced the launch of the 7-inch Android mini tablet LifeTouch, which was defined as filling the product gap between smartphones and tablets. It will be available on November 30 and the price has not yet been disclosed. LifeTouch built-in accelerometer supports horizontal and vertical image display, stylus, WiFi wireless, optional 3G and infrared transmission, and battery life of 8 hours.
New tablet equipped with 7-inch 800x480 resolution display, ARM Cortex-A8 processor, 256MB mobile DDR memory, equipped with SD card slot, USB 2.0x2 interface, built-in 3 million pixel camera, GPS, support for Wi-Fi 802.11b /11g, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR wireless transmission.
NEC stated that they will provide customized services for enterprise users, allowing them to develop primary applications. The new tablet is suitable for applications such as e-book reading, online shopping, entertainment, and product reservations. It measures 220x120x14mm and weighs 370g.
