In October, the total retail sales of consumer goods in China reached 2129.1 billion yuan, a nominal increase of 13.3% year-on-year (a real increase of 11.2% after deducting price factors). From January to October, the total retail sales of consumer goods reached 1,903.0 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 13.0. %.

Data show that from January to October, China's total retail sales of household appliances and audio equipment was 562.1 billion yuan, an increase of 14.4% year-on-year, of which retail sales in October was 66.4 billion yuan, an increase of 12.5%.

According to the location of the business unit, in October, the retail sales of consumer goods in urban areas was 1,863.4 billion yuan, up 13.1% year-on-year; the retail sales of rural consumer goods were 285.8 billion yuan, up 14.6%. From January to October, the retail sales of consumer goods in urban areas reached 1,644.3 billion yuan, up by 12.7 percent year-on-year; the retail sales of rural consumer goods were 2,587.6 billion yuan, up by 14.5 percent.

In retail sales, in October, retail sales of goods by companies (units) above designated size reached 982.5 billion yuan, an increase of 13.5%. From January to October, the retail sales of enterprises above designated size (units) was 8856.3 billion yuan, an increase of 12.3%.

In addition, the prices of household equipment supplies and maintenance services rose by 1.5% in October from the same period last year. Among them, the price of home service, processing and maintenance services rose by 8.0%, and the price of durable consumer goods increased by 0.5%.
