Intelligent lighting developer Gooee claims to have created the world's smallest sensor for LED lighting and the Internet of Things (IoT), and has included the latest artificial eye technology with an exclusive agreement with DELTA Microelectronics.
The agreement announced at the Hong Kong Lighting Fair created a new "standard" for sensing, data and control in the LED lighting industry, and Gooee became the sole provider of innovative optical ASIC (Application Specific Integrated Circuit) technology for luminaire manufacturers. Gooee has established an exclusive partnership with EVRYTHNG's IoT cloud platform, enabling Gooee to operate tens of millions of smart lighting endpoints across a global network.
Advanced ASIC technology with multiple environmental, human and LED performance sensing capabilities to detect motion, direction, ambient lighting, LED color temperature differences, LED illuminance (lux) differences, and ASIC operating temperatures in a 5 x 5 mm chip package.
Further connecting LED lighting manufacturers with the novel "full stack" operating platform of the Internet of Things, Gooee and DELTA will focus on assisting engineering and further developing more advanced sensing capabilities.
Gooee Technical Director Simon Coombes said: "At the moment we are still on the surface of what the chip can do, we are developing some incredible features that give Gooee and its customers a huge competitive advantage in the IoT sensor market."
