Second, hardware installation

All are DB-9/DB-9 transfer box sizes, with one end of the DB-9 (hole seat) plugged directly into a 9-pin RS-232 receptacle (Pin Header). The DB-25 core and DB-9 core connector pins of the PC RS-232 serial port are assigned as follows: DB-9: 2-RXD, 3-TXD, 5-GND (ground). DB-25: 2-TXD, 3-RXD, 7-GND. RS-485 (or RS-422) communication is recommended to be grounded because RS-485 (or RS-422) communication requires that the ground potential difference between the two parties is less than 1V. That is, half-duplex communications are connected to three wires (+A, -B, and ground), and full-duplex communications are connected to five wires (+send, -send, +send, -send, and ground). For the sake of safety, it is recommended that the housing of the communication device be earthed. The "ground" of all external power supplies of the optocoupler (U485C, U485A) must be connected together but not connected to the ground of the computer casing, because the power "ground" is also the signal "ground" of RS-485 or RS-422. Optically isolated communication interface converters are recommended when the communication distance exceeds 100 meters.

Fourth, performance description

RS-485 is half duplex communication. RS-422 is full-duplex. Non-opto-isolated converters (models: 485C, 485A) require no external power supply and have a maximum rate of 115.2Kbps. U series optically isolated non-isolated general-purpose converters (Model: U485C, U485A) require no power supply when used as a non-isolated converter, and an external 5V power supply (voltage 5±0.5V, power consumption) is used for the U series optically isolated converter. Current <50mA), communication rate is higher than 9600bps. T series optically isolated converters (models: 485TC, 485TA) do not require an external power supply, and the communication rate is up to 9600 bps or more, and the actual 38.4 kbps or more is suitable for PC use. The 485C, 485TC, and U485C are full-duplex/half-duplex general-purpose models. 485A, 485TA, U485A are half duplex type. Bosch Electronic's series of converters are divided into endpoint type and node type, and the default is the endpoint type. There can be 128 endpoints and 128 nodes. All isolation transformers have an isolation voltage of 2500V. All Bosch converters have built-in 600W anti-surge surge protector and 1500V anti-static protector.

V. Wiring connection and pin assignment

The +A of RS-485 is connected to +A, -B of the other party and the -B and GND (ground) of the other party are connected to the other party's GND (ground).

RS-422 wiring principle: "+ send" to the other party's "+ receive", "- send" to the other party's "-", "+ receive" to the other party's "+ send", "- close" to the other party's "-" and GND (ground) are connected to each other's GND (ground).
