Tencent’s Panson’s Parsons School of Design at this week’s SXSW 2017 brought a very interesting Panasonic House circular concept design, and its main purpose is to provide sleep tracking and keep you from hitting call.
The conceptual design, called Sleepwise, is a control center that tracks wearable devices and smart home products. It can be attached to our pajamas or pillows and track our changes in body temperature and nighttime activity at night.
The device can also be placed on a bedside table to track the temperature, humidity, air quality, light, and judging our breathing through the room. This very beautiful Sleepwise was completed by four students from the Parsons School of Design and built a complete automated tracking system.
The idea behind this Sleepwise is to learn about our living system, to improve the living environment by adjusting the smart light bulbs or air conditioning in the home, and then to ensure that we can have a complete sleep conditions, including temperature and humidity. Panasonic also expressed interest in turning Sleepwise’s ideas into reality.
“This product will be the first to be experienced on SXSW before it goes on the market, and the future will make our sleep habits healthier,†said Akimoto Nobuhiro of Panasonic.
In addition to this sleep tracker, Panasonic also presented a Gobie smart bracelet at the conference. This bracelet is an out-of-the-box social bracelet and is produced by students from the Parsons School of Design Qinzi Tan. Design allows us to experience the fun of face-to-face social networking.
Gobie can be connected via Bluetooth, and then prompted by LED lights, accelerometers and tactile feedback systems. When two people wearing Gobie bracelets shake hands with each other, they can share and exchange social accounts with each other and daily exercise tracking data.
