(NYSE: VSH) today announced new 20V N-Channel TrenchFET® power in an ultra-small, thermally enhanced PowerPAK SC-70® package MOSFET---SiA466EDJ. With a footprint of 2mm x 2mm, the Vishay Siliconix SiA466EDJ has the industry's highest package current limit for higher power density and reliability in portable electronics. It is also the industry's only rated VGS with ±20V, offering such devices with integrated ESD protection.
The 25A package of the SiA466EDJ limits current by 13% compared to the nearest device. In load switch applications, high current ratings provide additional safety margins for fault conditions such as large inrush currents and short circuits. The MOSFET integrates ESD protection and has a protection of 2500V to prevent electrostatic damage caused by touch or human contact.
Today's devices are versatile power management solutions for portable electronics.
