ADI completes the upgrade of manufacturing process technology, effectively improving wafer manufacturing efficiency
Analog Devices, Inc., recently successfully completed the upgrade and improvement of proprietary analog, mixed-signal and MEMS (micro-electromechanical systems) manufacturing process technology, with the goal of reducing costs and improving wafer manufacturing efficiency. The renovation of the Wilmington, Massachusetts plant in the United States was completed on November 1, and earlier this year, the plant in Limerick, Ireland, also completed the renovation plan, which was previously announced by ADI to ensure that customers enjoy high cost performance And a long-term plan for a flexible global manufacturing infrastructure.
The Wilmington plant mainly manufactures RF, linear and other analog products, and has plans to produce ADI's MEMS products. The Limerick plant was all converted into ADI's high-capacity 8-inch wafer foundry. The expansion of production capacity and the improvement of business efficiency will further enhance ADI's ability to use high-performance analog process technology for manufacturing, including proprietary MEMS, CMOS, BiCMOS, BiPolar and SiGe processes.
ADI's manufacturing strategy fully integrates internal and external business, so its supply chain can flexibly adapt to changes in market demand, while maintaining a consistent and fast delivery cycle. High-performance analog innovation requires not only breakthroughs in circuit design, but also breakthroughs in proprietary analog and mixed-signal processing technologies, packaging and testing.
