Reporter: With the development of society, nightscape lighting has become an important part of urban construction. What lighting design techniques do you think can be used to reflect the structural mechanics and aesthetics of modern architecture?
Huang: Modern architecture is developing faster and faster. Nowadays, lighting, aesthetics and color have a new feature. Therefore, there may be some new improvements in the performance of the building. Traditionally, we have used floodlights, LEDs as outlines, and neon lights. Now, we have introduced more new technologies, including some stage lighting, as well as some dyeing, etc., mainly to show people who have a lot of feelings in the different states of the building. So the building becomes a living body. Architectural lighting is designed to match the vitality of the building, not to be as good as it used to be. To express architecture is to tell people what the building represents, that is, a breath to convey, is a functional extension of the building. So now more and more attention to architectural lighting.
Reporter: In urban night lighting, the application of floodlight is very extensive, but according to some data, the application of ordinary floodlights will have some defects. Is there a better product to replace it?
Yellow: Floodlights have been used for a long time. In the past few decades, urban night lighting has always been dominated by floodlights. However, with the increase in the structure of the building, including the glass curtain wall, the building is getting higher and higher, etc., the use of floodlights for night lighting is relatively power-hungry. Therefore, we will use a variety of forms, such as combining LEDs, combined with other new types of lamps, etc., and there are many ways of expression. Modern architecture, it needs to tell others a concept that needs to give others a feeling. We see a building is a feeling. Therefore, different buildings should be applied in different forms. Floodlights may be a good source of light. Now there are many new forms of expression, including LEDs, fiber optics, and controls.
