The MAX1441 signal conditioning integrated circuit (IC) is designed to support capacitive proximity sensing sensor designs for automotive passive remote access (PKE) and other systems. The interface board is used as part of the production test system to program and test end products including the MAX1441. To this end, Maxim developed the MAXQUSBJTAG-KIT USB to JTAG interface board. The following figure shows the application circuit for connecting the MAX1441 to the JTAG interface of the MAXQUSBJTAG-KIT board. Note: In the circuit diagram, the JTAG line requires a pull-up resistor and is part of the application circuit. Typically, the pull-up resistor is part of the test system and does not have to be repeatedly mounted on the application board.
