A light oscilloscope is a recording instrument composed of electrical, magnetic, optical and mechanical systems. It uses a magneto-electric vibrator to convert the input current signal into a lateral direction of the light spot, and then on the photosensitive recording paper moving at constant speed. , the signal to be measured is recorded. The vibration subsystem is the main component of the ray oscilloscope, which includes the vibrator, magnetic system and body device. Most light oscilloscopes use a common magnetic moving coil. That is to say, many of them are inserted into a common magnetic system, and there is no adjusting device on the magnetic system for adjusting the horizontal angle of the vibration in the pitch angle, so that the vibrator obtains the most transmitted position, and the vibrator is not protected. Or less affected by the ambient temperature, the magnetic system is also equipped with an automatically controlled electric heater to ensure that the vibrator is in a constant temperature (45 ± 5) °C environment.

The vibrator is composed of the inner pole piece 3, the lower contact sleeve 4, the tension wire 5, the support 6, the small mirror 7, the coil 8 and the tension spring 10, and the small reflection sharp 7 is attached to the tension wire 5, and the vibrating sub-shell 13 is inserted in one of the magnetic poles of the shared magnetic system. When the conductive current i flows through the coil 8 through the inner pole piece 3, the coil is subjected to electromagnetic torque in the magnetic field, and is deflected together with the small mirror 7. The light beam that is irradiated onto the small mirror 7 by the light source 1 is reflected and focused on the photosensitive paper web 12 to form a light spot. The spot is offset along the lateral direction of the photosensitive web as the small mirror rotates, so that a waveform is drawn on the photosensitive paper moving at a constant speed. This waveform describes the relationship of the measured signal to time, which is how the ray oscilloscope works.

In order to reduce the influence of the time scale change caused by the paper speed change, the timing flashing device is also used to trace the time mark on the paper tape, and the time interval between adjacent time mark lines is equivalent to 1, 0.1, 0.01 seconds, and the like.
