The light touch probe is an in-situ test method for judging the nature of the soil by using a certain drop hammer energy to make the cone-shaped probe of a certain size hit the soil (penetration degree).
Lightweight touch probe range and precautions for use
(1) Scope of application of light touch probe
Applicable to sand, cohesive soil (including loess), artificial fill, looser particles.
(2) Operating procedures for light touch probes
1. First drill with a light drill to the test soil level.
2. Before filling, the touch probe should be installed smoothly and keep the probe hole vertical.
3. When filling, let the piercing hammer fall freely. The drop distance is 50cm, the penetration depth is recorded in time, the penetration amount of one stroke and the corresponding hammer number (generally 5 strokes are a single blow), and the number N of measured hammers per penetration of 10 cm is calculated.
4. When the length of the probe is greater than 2m, the number of hammers should be corrected according to the corresponding specifications.
(3) Precautions for use of light touch probe
When in use, the penetrating hammer is free to fall, the height is 50 cm, and the number of hammers per 30 cm into the soil layer is N100.
Incremental encoders provide speed, direction and relative position feedback by generating a stream of binary pulses proportional to the rotation of a motor or driven shaft. Lander offers both optical and magnetic incremental encoders in 4 mounting options: shafted with coupling, hollow-shaft, hub-shaft or bearingless. Single channel incremental encoders can measure speed which dual channel or quadrature encoders (AB) can interpret direction based on the phase relationship between the 2 channels. Indexed quadrature encoders (ABZ) are also available for homing location are startup.
