2016 wearable shipments exceeded 100 million rising stars can not be underestimated

According to IDC statistics, the shipment of wearable devices in 2016 has exceeded 100 million, reaching 102 million, and the annual growth rate of shipments reached 25%. Among the top five brands, Samsung Electronics has the highest annual growth rate of 38.6% due to its low base period. The second-ranked millet has a lower annual growth rate than Samsung, but it also reached 31%. Ramon Llamas, IDC's wearable device research team manager, further analyzed that newcomers to the wearable device market are critical to the development of the industry, as these new entrants are not expanding their luxury and fashion products for wearable devices. It is the product type that has already jumped off the wrist device, such as headphones, sports shoes, and so on.

In fact, the headset can be said to be one of the biggest highlights of the wearable device market in 2016. Its shipments already account for 1% of the total wearable device, and the future growth momentum is worth looking forward to.
