These controllers feature the latest Intel Core processors and Xilinx Kintex-7 FPGAs for FPGA image co-processing for high-performance machine vision applications. NI Industrial Controllers connect GigE Vision and USB3 Vision cameras. DisplayPort, industrial communication ports and industrial digital I/O for dual-screen Human Machine Interface (HMI) are also available for users to customize with the LabVIEW FPGA Module. NI industrial controllers use the GigE Vision standard, which provides advanced synchronization features such as deterministic camera triggering based on the Ethernet bus and queue pulse support that closely synchronizes the visual inspection results of the sorting/eliminating system using a simple API. 2. Compact vision systemThe Compact Vision System (CVS) is a rugged, automated controller that combines camera connectivity, open communication, and FPGA-based I/O in a small form factor. Designed to capture and process images from multiple cameras in real time, CVS offers exceptional flexibility, integration and ruggedness for a wide range of industrial-grade inspection, calibration and OEM vision applications.
2. CVS can be connected to a variety of GigE Vision and USB3 Vision cameras.
The CVS is powered by an Intel Atom processor and is compatible with GigE Vision or USB3 Vision cameras. The system includes real-time displays, industrial communication ports, and industrial digital I/O that can be customized with the LabVIEW FPGA Module. The processor runs a deterministic, reliable NI Linux Real-TIme operating system for applications such as network communication, data logging, control, and processing. User-programmable FPGAs allow you to customize your development hardware for high-speed control, online data processing, or complex timing and triggering. In addition, FPGAs can be used for FPGA image coprocessing, reducing latency and processing time, making the camera available as an input to closed-loop control applications. The CompactRIO controller also provides multiple slots to integrate hundreds of C Series I/O modules, making I/O and sensor connectivity easy to integrate into the vision system.
4.
